"The Eye" mortar strike signaling device ("The Eye") is an item in Escape from Tarkov.
Description[]
A special device that utilizes a whole network of detectors, communication systems and satellites. Mechanic built it from the blueprints of a certain someone named Mr. Kerman. Although the device doesn't allow you to connect to digital maps of the area, it can warn you of an impending mortar attack.
Notes[]
- Cannot be listed for sale on the flea market, be sold to traders or destroyed.
- While a player has the device equipped, there is a notification in the bottom right corner of the screen when a mortar fire barrage happens. When it's near a major landmark, the location is also mentioned.
- The device vibrates (sound indicator) when a mortar fire barrage is very close. This can also be heard by other players.
- This item is not lootable from players and can only be placed in a special item slot.
Quest rewards[]
- Can be obtained as initial equipment from the quest In and Out. The related questline starts with Into the Inferno.
