Airdrop crate is a Loot Container in Escape from Tarkov.

Description

A 10x12 grid crate that is air-dropped from a Russian Ilyushin Il-76MD-90A airlifter painted fully white with "UN" markings.

Mechanic

A loud plane can be heard and seen flying over the location. It will fire off countermeasure flares in its flight path in even intervals, until it reaches the drop zone, where it fires off multiple flares at once and diverts from its original flight path after dropping a crate. The crate can be dropped at a set number of positions and will slowly fall to the ground via parachute. Once on the ground, the crate will emit red smoke.

Airdrops can also be called in by using a signal pistol with a 26x75mm red flare cartridge or the handheld RSP-30 red flare.

There is a 20 minute cooldown period between airdrops which is indicated by a "Wait for arrival! Airspace is congested" notification in the bottom right corner of the screen when trying to call one too early after another. The airdrop will arrive after the cooldown is over.

Location

Airdrops are available on all locations aside from Factory, The Lab and Ground Zero (Level <21).

Loot Table

There are 4 different types of airdrop crates containing different loot corresponding to their types:

1. Common supply crate - Low to mid gear of any kind
2. Supply crate - Barter items
3. Medical crate - Medical items, stimulants and provisions
4. Weapon crate - Weapons, weapon mods, ammunition and gear

All types of crates have a chance to spawn backpacks and valuables.
