The Colt M4A1 5.56x45 assault rifle (M4A1) is an assault rifle in Escape from Tarkov.
Description[]
The Colt M4A1 carbine is a fully automatic variant of the basic M4 Carbine and was primarily designed for special operations use. However, U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) was soon to adopt the M4A1 for almost all special operations units, followed later by general introduction of the M4A1 into service with the U.S. Army and Marine Corps.

- Due to its futuristic looks, the Space Trooper variant is a reference to either the weapons used by the "Stormtroopers" in the "Star Wars" movie series, or the weapons used by the soldiers in the movie "Starship Troopers".
- Despite being classified as an assault rifle in-game, the M4A1 is actually a carbine version of the M16 assault rifle, as it has a shorter standard barrel length of 14.5 inches, compared to the M16's 20-inch barrel.
