Surgery is a Practical skill in Escape from Tarkov.

Description

The ability to perform field surgery may save your life in critical situations. The better you learn this skill, the faster and better you will perform combat surgeries.

Effects

• Increases surgery speed (0.4% per level → +20% at Elite Level)
• Reduces surgery HP penalty (1% per level → -50% at Elite Level)
• Elite level: Increases surgery speed (+20% → +40% total)
• Elite level: Reduces surgery HP penalty (-50% → -100% total: Limbs are restored with full HP)

How to raise

• 1.1 points per use of a CMS surgical kit or Surv12 field surgical kit on a blacked out limb.
• Completing the quest The Survivalist Path - Combat Medic
• Completing the quest Crisis

Leveling Guide

• At the end of each raid, blackout both of your legs by jumping off a ledge or by having a friend shoot you. Then perform surgery on both legs.
  • Performing 4 surgeries per raid will result in max-level surgery after 1400 raids.
  • Having a friend shoot your limbs out is an effective way to gain surgery and Vitality simultaneously.
