Zryachiy is a Cultist Boss in Escape from Tarkov.

Biography

Zryachiy controls every approach to the Lighthouse island and lets through only those expected by Lightkeeper. Before finishing off his victims, he often shoots out their limbs. Rumors say Zryachy is closely tied to the Witnesses of the Arrival.

Notes

Zryachiy and his followers will not shoot players that have an encoded Digital secure DSP radio transmitter until provoked. Getting too close to them is considered a provocation.
Harming Zryachiy or his followers will decode your Digital secure DSP radio transmitter if you have one.
Both of Zryachiy's followers can respawn up to three times as long as Zryachiy is alive, making the maximum possible follower count 8.
Killing Zryachiy as a Scav does not carry any penalties towards your Scav karma.
Zryachiy and his 2 followers have different health values than PMCs and Scavs.

Behavior

Zryachiy and his guards will shoot you upon hitting one of them or walking on the bridge. They are extremely accurate and hard to spot, usually sitting on the rocks at the peninsula. Zryachiy himself will be somewhat centered near the rock closest to the Lighthouse itself. His followers are spread out, on opposite sides of the island. One sits somewhat near the rocks that are highest on the peninsula, next to the house with the small dome on it. The other one will sit near or on the rock plateau on the right. Zryachiy's guards will respawn up to 3 times in total together as long as Zryachiy is alive. Zryachiy and his guards will only target the most recent player that has damaged any of them.

Strategy

The easiest strategy to killing Zryachiy and his guards requires atleast 3 players.

This strategy involves having one player kill Zryachiy then the other 2 killing both the guards. If you do it the other way around the guards will both respawn up to 3 times each.

An alternative method if you are by yourself, is to slow lean around right corners using a high magnification scope, and trying to pick off the guards along with their respawns and then kill Zryachiy.

Trivia

Zryachiy (Зрячий) loosely translates to "The one who sees".
Zryachiy's initial signature weapon was an AXMC with a REAP-IR thermal scope and AP ammo. It was removed 2 weeks after his addition, but can still be found on concept art and merchandise.

Zryachiy's followers show up as "Sektant" in the kill list, but are not the exact same AI type as Cultists, and therefore do not count for Cultist related quests or achievements.
